Louann Haarman

Louann (Trudy) Haarman is Professor of English Language and Linguistics in the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Bologna, Italy. Her research interests are in the fields of research methodology in applied linguistics, and in media discourse. In the latter area she has done work on sitcoms, talk shows, and British morning shows, and she is currently working on television news from a comparative perspective (BBC/RAI).
