Nik CouplandNikolas Coupland is Professor and Chair at the Centre for Language and Communication Research at Cardiff University. He is editor, with Allan Bell, of the Journal of Sociolinguistics (Blackwell Publishers). His research ison sociolinguistic issues in ageing and the lifespan; on language style and stylisation; and on the sociolinguistics of Wales and Welsh English.
