Group
Seminar

The Ross Priory Group for Research on Broadcast Talk is an international group of scholars who meet regularly at Ross Priory in Scotland to discuss the role of talk in the mass media. Our initial interest was in the kind of unscripted talk which broadcasters and others use to sustain the performance of mediated discourse: but recent papers have gone well beyond this form of talk, and recent seminars have had a thematic focus such as 'authentic talk', 'identity and performance' and 'liveness'.

Update 2007:
Ross Priory is booked for MAY 2-5.
